Trauma

"What about me?"

Trauma Resolution allows us to externalize our emotions in a safe and supportive environment. It permits us to focus and draw attention to intense emotion, acknowledging its harmful effects, to move forward with the healing process.

“I feel stuck.”

“This is still bothering me.”

“I can’t stop thinking about this.”

“I want this out of my head.”

Defined by the individual, trauma can have a lasting effect on our future behavior.  Whether we have experienced the trauma first-hand or have witnessed a traumatic event, our brains work quickly to protect us from intense emotions and often debilitating physical symptoms. Because there is no time limit for processing a traumatic event, it is important to address intense emotions before they grow and establish themselves as a part of our life script.

People often find themselves in repetitive patterns. As part of this therapeutic process, we can identify the patterns that prevent us from moving forward.
